The Nudging2Move project was presented at the 29th International Conference of Physical Education and Sports (EGVE), held from 8 to 10 May 2026 at the Olympic Museum of Thessaloniki. The presentation was delivered on behalf of the Nudging2Move consortium by Iason Tamiakis of Tero PC.
The session provided an overview of the project’s progress, with particular attention to the collaborative local workshops implemented across the project’s pilot cases. These workshops played a central role in co-designing and selecting behavioural nudges — evidence-based, low-cost interventions grounded in behavioural science — aimed at encouraging more active lifestyles among citizens in different European communities. The presentation also explored how the project’s methodology bridges behavioural psychology and sports science to support local authorities, sports organisations, and health professionals in turning sedentary habits into active ones.
Looking ahead, the project will focus on the pilot implementation of nudging interventions in real-world settings, the evaluation of their behavioural impact, the development of local policy recommendations, and community engagement through multiplier events. The Nudging2Move consortium extends its thanks to all researchers, practitioners, and participants who contributed to the discussions on behavioural science, physical activity, and public health.
