Nudging2Move co-design workshop engages teachers in the Chernivtsi region

On 16 February 2026, the Ukrainian project partners hosted a Nudging2Move Local Co-Design Workshop in the Chernivtsi region, bringing together 29 teachers to explore practical approaches to increasing physical activity among school-age children. The session forms part of the project’s wider effort to develop context-sensitive, community-embedded behavioural interventions across its European partner locations.

As in other partner workshops, the session was structured around the Six Thinking Hats method, guiding participants through a multi-perspective decision-making process to identify the most suitable nudging interventions for the local context. The group shortlisted a set of priority nudges for the forthcoming pilot phase, including social norm messaging, time-difference prompts comparing walking versus driving, reflective reminder bracelets, and NFC keyrings linking users to project resources. These low-cost, scalable tools reflect the project’s commitment to interventions that are practical and replicable within school and community settings.

The active engagement of teaching professionals underscores the importance of involving frontline practitioners in the co-design process, ensuring that nudging strategies are grounded in the realities of everyday school life. The outcomes of this workshop will feed directly into the pilot implementation phase of the Nudging2Move project.
