Kargenc Environment Sports Club was founded in Sakarya in 2010 as a Youth and Sports Association by volunteer teachers. Kargenc Club aims to create an environment in which is - physically active and well-being of the young people, - full active participation of society in their social life (specifically social inclusion of kids, young people, and women with fewer opportunities.) - at peace with nature and to encourage respect for the cycle of nature - a green World by encouraging society to raise awareness on climate change and eco-friendly life styles. The target group varies from 7 to 70 years old since Kargenc has strong relations with stakeholders such as District Governor, National Education Directorate, and District Director of Youth and Sport in the region; and Kargenc includes these stakeholders in its activities to create a strong effect in the region. Thus, its target group varies as kids, young people, adults, families, seniors, and kids/young people with fewer opportunities in our region. Kargenc Club’s interests are on healthy life and being active by organizing sports activities to make the kids and young people physically active; social inclusion by helping young people with fewer opportunities who don’t have the opportunity to do sports; by organizing sport activities for people in rural areas, specifically for women in rural areas; green activities by organizing awareness activities on climate change for young people and encouraging the sport clubs to reduce their carbon emissions and create and Carbon Zero Sport clubs; traditional games by providing trainings to PE teachers to keep alive the traditional games to make kids physically active and organizing traditional games events for the kids; traditional dances; gender equality; sport injuries; and volunteering by implementing ESC Project in High Priority Areas with young people to create active villagers by organizing different sport activities to kids, young people, women, and seniors. Kargenc Club has a strong team consisting of teachers, coaches, academicians, physiotherapists, and psychologists. They believe in making our environment active, included, and green with great partnerships.

It promotes a healthy lifestyle, focuses on forming national and patriotic values, organizes charity, entertainment, and scientific events for children, and engages Ukrainian youth in volunteering. We engage children and youth in an active lifestyle, acquire healthy habits, improve their physical and psychological condition, and benefit Ukrainian society.
